Pedicure

A pedicure helps to give the feet and nails a good appearance. It is a process which involves several steps which include the following:
• Soak the feet in warm water with added salts and olive oil. The salts soften the skin and the olive oil moisturizes the skin. Leave it as such for 15 minutes.
• Exfoliate the bottom of the feet with a body scrub and use pumice stone on the heels to remove the dead cells.
• Pad dry the feet with a clean towel.
• Trim the nails. Make sure the cuticles are not disturbed as it is essential to prevent bacteria from entering the skin.
• With a good foot cream, massage the entire foot including the cuticles.
Types of pedicure:
Regular Pedicure: It involves soaking the foot, then exfoliating the dead cells in toes with a pumice stone. Then clipping, shaping and polishing the nails, and finally giving a massage to foot and calf and application of moisturizer.
Athletic Pedicure:  With the regular pedicure procedure, the aromatics are used here which has more cooling effect like peppermint, cucumber or eucalyptus.
Chocolate Pedicure:  Along with regular pedicure, this type includes soaking the foot in chocolate and application of chocolate moisturizing lotion.
Champagne or Wine Pedicure:  The feet massage is given with wine in this type of pedicure and rest of the steps follows the regular pedicure.
French Pedicure: Along with regular pedicure, the nails are polished white in the tips and then with sheer pink color on the base.
Ice Cream Pedicure:  Here the bath ball looks like an ice cream scoop. Then foot scrubbing is done using lotions flavored with vanilla, chocolate or strawberry and then a cherry red polish is applied to the nails.
Mini Pedicure:  It involves a regular pedicure minus massaging and sole care.
Margarita Pedicure: Along with regular pedicure this includes scrubbing using salt, massaging in lime based oil and moisturizing.
Paraffin Pedicure: Along with regular pedicure, the feet are moisturized using paraffin wax.
Spa Pedicure:  With the regular pedicure treatment it has paraffin dip, seaweed or mud treatment.
Stone Pedicure: In this type of pedicure hot stones are used to rub the feet and nails with essential oils.
